Dr. McGary’s Professional Side

Dr. McGary is a proud Monroe, Louisiana native who began his academic journey at Carroll High School in 1967. He continued his education at Southern University, where he attended from 1969 to 1973 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He then pursued his professional training at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee, beginning in 1973, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

Dr. Larry Tate McGary has dedicated his life to dentistry, education, and service. His long-standing commitment to his profession reflects a deep passion for helping patients maintain healthy, confident smiles. Throughout his career, Dr. McGary has remained devoted to providing compassionate, quality dental care while building meaningful relationships within the communities he serves.

Dr. McGary’s Personal Side

Outside of dentistry, Dr. McGary treasures time with his family. He is happily married to his wife Laura and is the proud father of five children, grandfather to twelve grandchildren, and great‑grandfather to eight great‑grandchildren. Family is at the heart of everything he does.

In his free time, Dr. McGary enjoys staying active by golfing and bowling, and he is an avid fan of all sports. His love for recreation, family, and community reflects the same dedication and warmth he brings to every patient interaction.
